These days, every city or town should have local paralegal services for clients seeking their services. Now, just like an attorney, a paralegal has to be trained and certified. Paralegals can either obtain a two year or four year paralegal degree and certification. Paralegal students can attend a two year or four year college where they take courses in tort law, contract law, business law, civil procedure law, case law and various disciplines within the legal field.
