Create Infograhics Like a Pro with Piktochart

Using Infographics is a very effective way of communicating data. Infographics come in handy when you're dealing with a lot of statistics and you need to present the information to users. Instead of bombarding them with numbers and data, it's best to use illustrations, charts, and graphs, to grab the attention of users. Since people are generally visual individuals, seeing information in the form of pictures and illustrations will make it easier for them process and understand what they're looking at.

However, if you're not an artist or designer, then creating those sleek and fancy infographics can be a challenge. Researching data is one thing, but presenting your findings in an interesting way is a different challenge altogether. Sure, you can always hire someone to create infographics for you, but that can set you back hundreds if not thousands of dollars per infographic.

Good thing there's Piktochart, a cool web app that allows you to create your own infogarphics with hardly any design requirements and at little to no cost. Simply select an infographic from an array of themes, customize it, enter your data, and hit save.

Choose from a variety of templates

Piktochart offers a variety of templates to serve as the skeleton for your infographic. Is your presentation heavy on pie charts? Piktochart has a theme for that. Looking for a template with a map in it? They have that, too. The site's templates also come in pre-set themes, so whether you're looking for something corporate, techy, causual, or even environmental, you'll most likely find it in Piktochart's template library.

No download required

One of my favorite things about Pikochart is that users aren't required to download any type of software to create the infographics, and you don't have to worry about downloading the necessary fonts or images either. You can make and design infographics straight from your web browser, and simply export that final product from there.

Piktochart has a very user-friendly interface where all you have to do is drag and drop the elements of the infographic. You're free to add, delete, or replace the text and illustrations in the template, and if you have your own images to include, you can simply upload them from your computer. Piktochart's templates come in pre-set color schemes, but you'll be able to change things up, and switch the colors to anything that you want.

Pricing

Piktochart offers three main plans. There's the free package for casual users, and this gives them access to three basic themes and one image upload. Infographics created from a free account will also include a Piktochart watermark. Then there's the pro version, for $19.99 a month that allows users to access over 30 professional themes and growing. Pro users will get better customization options, more image uploads, as well as the option to remove the Piktochart watermark. The annual pro package, which costs $199 a year will lets users get all of the Piktochart themes, get better customization, upload more images, and remove the Piktochart watermark from their infographics.

Piktochart also offers special services and pricing for educators, non-profit organizations, and brands that wish to customize their infographics even more.
