There is no doubt about it; local convenience stores are designed for the convenience of people across the globe. Convenience stores are small shops that sell an assortment of common necessities for people to purchase. Some local convenience stores stick to selling basic items such as ice cream and candy, while others sell groceries and allow for Internet use. Whatever the reason is, most people find themselves using convenience stores on a regular basis. Local convenience stores can generally be found along busy roads, city neighborhoods or attached to gas stations. They sell products at a higher cost than what can be found at large retail chains, which is how c-stores keep their businesses thriving. Customers on the other hand, do not mind spending a few extra dollars for the ease of not having to stand in long lines or shuffle through aisles of a store. C-stores will offer some basic products, such as milk or cases of water, at competitive prices however. There are different types of c-stores to meet the needs of customers. Mini-marts are most common and sell a wide range of products, while liquor stores focus on alcoholic beverages and tobacco products. In general, most local convenience stores sell lottery tickets, newspapers, tobacco products, and magazines. They sell general snack foods, such as candy, chips and sodas. Local convenience stores will also sell basic household and hygiene products and limited amounts of alcohol, unless it is a liquor store. Some c-stores also offer service station equipment which adds to the convenience of customers. Using the service station equipment can allow a customer to have his or her car washed, tires filled with air, and gas tank full all in one stop.
