Just like any other emergencies, you cannot really plan the right time for when you are going to have a dental emergency dealing with your teeth. Maybe you are babysitting one night and you are playing ball with the kids and you get hit. You feel a warm sensation in your mouth and you spit a tooth out. The first thing you realize is the time. You know your dentist is closed at this hour but you have no idea who else to call. You should look up all of your local emergency services dentists to see what you can do and who is the closest. There should always be a local dentist on hand in case of emergencies. Next time you go to your regular dentist for your schedules cleaning or check up, you should ask for a list of addresses and numbers for any of the local oral urgent care centers in your area. You may never need them, but at the same time, it is always better to be safe than sorry. If you have an emergency, or anyone you know or around you, then you may be able to help them out, as well. And it could save a lot of time running around trying to find someone open to help out if you just had a list of dentists with an emergency department. You may even be able to get a number for your own dentist's cell phone or pager number if they would be willing to help you out even if it is past office hours.
