Many adhere to a doctrinal statement of faith or a covenant while others may be nondenominational with no strict statement of faith or covenant. Most churches perform the ordinances of Baptism (by submersion or sprinkling) and the Lord's Supper also known as Communion. These practices are in keeping with the Bible's teachings found in the New Testament.
