Medical centers have been serving the whole world for many, many years. There are so many medical centers in every city such as, Cedar-Sinai Medical Center, UCLA Medical Center, NYU Langone Medical Center, University of Michigan Medical Center, Boston Medical Center, Columbia University Medical Center, and Detroit Medical Center. Medical centers are places that provide health care for patients and they have staff that is specialized in those fields with equipment that helps with treatment. Many medical centers have a wide variety of services they put forward in the numerous departments they have. Some services they present are urgent care, burn unit, intensive care unit, cancer center, and trauma center. Units such as a dispensary or pharmacy, radiology, and pathology are all support units. There are a variety of types of medical centers and typically they are determined by the way they can care for patients that are admitted and stay for the night. The one type of medical center most people know of is general medical centers. These medical centers tend to treat patients that require immediate care. General medical centers typically have certain facilities for childbirth, surgery, and plastic surgery. These centers are more often than not the major health care places in a city. Now there are medical centers that specialize in particular medical diseases, children medical problems, senior medical problems, and rehabilitation.
