Business Foundations are established from the ground up. The foundations behind a business are usually found within its employees. The employees are the ones that establish the business culture and the core ideologies of the business. Many local business foundations are founded on basic principles such as treating your employees with respect and making sure all employees adhere to company rules. People often underestimate how important employees can be in establishing a companies foundations. Employees are without the backbone of the business foundation and having good or bad employees can easily bring a business down.This is why there have been many different theories developed throughout the years that teach us how to manage employees and set up good foundations for a business. There exists Y theory which is a theory that relies heavily on workers being capable of managing themselves and are motivated hence these employees have a wide range of freedoms given to them. The opposite theory which is theory X is what is used to manage employees that are unmotivated and often times considered by management to be lazy. Theory X applies a much more micro managing type of management style and give the individual employee a lot less control over his or her work environment.
