What are local exporters? One must first define local. An exporter is one who ships their products abroad, for example, the local farmers in rural India ship mangoes to locations around the world. A local exporter is one whose goods are shipped to far off places. China export many goods. Chief among these goods are zinc, nickel, lumber, mining and oil equipment. Local goods, also known as supplies, are shipped either as finished products or raw materials. Items such as zinc and nickel are raw materials, which are later fashioned into finished products such as batteries and shampoo. Other items are finished products such oil equipment. The Chinese are one of the leading local exporters. Why do we need local exporters? Certain supplies only exist in specific parts of the world, or it may just be less expensive to produce certain supplies in distant places. Equipment exporters ship heavy machinery around the globe. These local exporters produce items such as cars and oil drills, but not all local exporters will ship heavy equipment, some exporters ship items as small as a grain of rice. India is one of the oldest local exporters. Since the time of Christopher Columbus India has had local exporters. Craftsmen sold a tiny yellow grain called saffron, which was utilized to add flavor to foods. India is also known for silk and iron work: all made by local exporters. It is these supplies from the Indian continent that set the whole concept of the local exporter in motion. Today local craftsmen still export their goods from India, as well as many other countries.
