Todays local radio stations have something for everyone, and indeed, this is true; from rap to rock-and-roll, and everything in between, though, truth be told, I wouldn't have the foggiest where to put rap, but there are few suggestions. First, just a little background. Growing up on the north side of Chicago in the late 50s, and early 60s,loving to watch TV and movies like anyone else, but the gang of people around with, were accused, on ocassion, of having a nine transisitor radio surgically attached to our ears, listening to the local radio stations. We listened to the Top 40, constantly, day and night, and to DJs that were truly DJs, in those days. These guys were funny and witty, without overdoing it, unlike some today, which try too hard, and fail anyway. The DJs during this time actually had radio "shows," meaning real funny stuff and the music. Commercials? Of course, which they placed in between the tunes, not the other way around. Female personalities on the radio are more likeable more than the males because the ladies don't try so hard to be witty like the guys do, and just seem to go-with-the flow. Just a personal observation, or is that an "earservation?"
