Bus travel is a great way to go from one place to another. Whether a person is using local bus travel for work or play, or taking a long-distance bus trip across the country, bus travel can provide many benefits for an individual and a community. Buses take students to and from college, office workers to their jogs, and sports fans to see their favorite teams. Many buses now are equipped to transport people in wheelchairs, allowing them new freedom and mobility. Of course, traveling by bus is good for the environment. Fewer cars on the road lead to less consumption of gas and oil. This also means less smog. With fewer people driving, there is less of a need to pave land for parking lots.
