All of these people collecting unemployment and companies going under due to this recession. We still have some hope. In 1998, a national county run program was developed for the unemployed and dislocated workers. This means that there are local recruiters near you. This is program was designed for the interaction between the local recruiters, employers and the person looking for work. These local recruiters will provide the opportunity to obtain meaningful and gainful employment through a number of different services. A few of the services the local recruiters provide through local recruitment centers with eligibility requirements are as follows: Core services basically job search and placement assistance, 18+ eligible. Intensive services or rather the developing individual employment plans, low-income eligible. Training services comprised of both basic and occupational skills, low-income eligible. While the local recruiters perform the above services, there are more than just the basics that they are well versed in. When the local recruiters are with a client they perform the core services with every adult client. The other core services the local recruiters provide are outreach and information about labor markets. However, there are times when the local recruiters need to provide more intense service to their clients. These intense services are mainly for the dislocated workers. These people need a little help in finding a direction, so counseling and career planning is needed or more comprehensive assessments. Yet, there are some people that only need to connect with local job opportunities. The local recruiters and clients decide on a suitable training program.
