Sports have never been more popular. Each year the number of local sports tickets which are bought increases. Major professional sports have always been successful, with larger cities often having one or more major professional sports teams. There are usually several levels, from the top classes of car and motorcycle racing, to second and third tier series. Amateur events also are popular in smaller communities.
