Also referred to either as a golf buggy or a golf car, a golf cart is a small vehicle that moves at about 15 miles per hour and was originally designed to carry two golfers around a golf course to aid in movement speed and efficiency. Over time, however, the use of a golf cart has changed, and many have been adapted to suit different uses and users. Initially, golf cars were electrically powered, but the introduction of carts that use gasoline became the starting point for the metamorphosis of this vehicle. The electric powered versions are now used only in communities that prefer not to have the noise, pollution and danger brought about by the gasoline versions. The gasoline version is preferred, however, by most people because it is generally faster, more powerful and does not have as many limitations in terms of laws compared to the electric car. It is about 4 feet wide, 8 feet long and 6 feet wide, and has a weight of between 900 and 1,000 pounds. This machines price ranges from $3,000 to $15,000 dollars. This variation comes as a result of several factors such as use, size, age, equipment, capacity (in terms of people it can carry) and so on. Its versatility and adaptability to change has led to an increase in modifications made to most carts, with certain golf courses offering customized vehicles and services for their members.
