Today, the Internet company unveiled the Yahoo! Marketing Dashboard. A new tool specially made for small business owners to track how their company is doing online. In an official blog post, the company stated that the dashboard "provides a clear, consolidated picture of a business's marketing results and reputation, making it easier to discover new insights and develop new ideas for growth. With key business metrics from across the Web accessible in one location, small business owners with limited resources can spend more time focusing on their core businesses and less time buried in multiple interfaces and spreadsheets."

Think of it as the entrepreneur's "command center" for keeping tabs on their businesses reputation on the World Wide Web. The Yahoo! Marketing Dashboard will allow users to submit their business in multiple listings and directories, read customer reviews all from one place, track website traffic and sales, and gain marketing insights.

Great for Local Businesses

One of the dashboard's main features is "Local Visibility", a tool that searches various search engines and directories (Google, YP, Citisearch, Yelp, etc). Use this feature to see where you can be found online and if the listings and business information are current, accurate, and consistent. Local Visibility eliminates the tedious task of going through numerous directories one by one. The tool will also show you where you're NOT visible to make sure that you can get on including your business in those directories and listings.

Entrepreneurs can upgrade to Local Visibility Pro in order to submit their businesses in bulk.

Find Out What Other People Are Saying

There are over 8000 online sources that can provide ratings, reviews, and mentions about your business. "Reputation Tracker", another tool in the Yahoo! Marketing Dashboard gathers all that data to show you your most recent mentions, ratings, and reviews.

The data is consolidated and presented in charts and graphs to give you an overview of your online reputation. Reputation Tracker will provide the "overall star rating and a breakdown of positive, negative, and neutral reviews to get a high-level view of your reputation."

Use this feature to determine whether or not your marketing and social media efforts are paying off.

Keep Track of Your Site Visitors

Monitor your website's stats using the dashboard's Site Traffic tool, which "also provides you with web site traffic reporting from Yahoo! Web Hosting, Yahoo! Merchant Solutions, or Google Analytics, so you can gain valuable insights into your web site performance, customers, and marketing activities."

Similar to the other features, your business website's stats are presented in graphs and charts, allowing you to easily analyze and interpret the data. The site metrics presented to users include, traffic and engagement, keywords used, bounce rates, and visitor location.

Track Your Marketing Campaigns

Yahoo! teamed up with Constant Contact and OrangeSoda to help entrepreneurs create and manage their marketing campaigns. Check out the dashboard's Campaign Tracking feature and use Constant Contact for your email marketing efforts, while take advantage of OrangeSoda's resources to manage your search engine marketing campaigns.
