The MacBook Pro with Retina Display Will Definitely Make Your Drool

In case you didn't get the memo, Apple announce the features and capabilities of iOS 6 on Monday during its WWDC event. I gave you the rundown of the biggest changes here, so do check it out if you aren't in the know yet. On top of iOS 6 though, we were also given a glimpse of the new MacBook Pro, which now has Apple's famous retina display, along with an all-flash architecture, and a thinner and lighter look.

Retina Display

If you're a fan of crisp, sharp, and detailed graphics, then the MacBook Pro will certainly get you excited. The device sports a Retina display with 5.1 million pixels, making it the world's highest-resolution notebook display.

The screen gives you such vivid and vibrant imagery that your eyes won't be able to pick out individual pixels. The new display reduces glare while giving you great color and contrast. According to Apple, "it has 29 percent higher contrast ratio than a standard MacBook Pro display. Blacks are blacker. Whites are whiter. And everything in between is rich and vibrant. IPS technology gives you a wide, 178-degree view of everything on the screen, so you'll see the difference at practically any angle. And you're going to love what you see." But it goes beyond pictures and graphics; it also displays text that's pin sharp, allowing for a smoother reading experience.

More Speed

The MacBook Pro with Retina Display has the latest quad-core Intel Core i7 processors giving you more speed than ever before. It also has "ext-generation Kepler NVIDIA graphics let you take on the most graphically intense rendering. State-of-the-art I/O like Thunderbolt and USB 3 makes it possible to expand your workspace in a matter of seconds. And at the center of it all is an entirely flash-based architecture that makes everything you do incredibly fast and responsive."

This means that you can modify pictures and edit videos at a much faster pace, allowing you to get more quality work done in less time.

Not to mention that all these specs are built into an all-flash storage that's gives you speed that's 4 times faster than a traditional hard drive.

All New Design

At just 0.71 inch thin and 4.46 pounds, the new MacBook Pro is the thinnest and lightest one yet. Of course it isn't just about size and weight, as the device is also extremely powerful. It sports high-efficiency fans with asymmetrically spaced impeller blades and back and side airflow vents to keep the device cool while reducing tonal impact at the same time. The speakers on the other hand offer a more dynamic range and a superb bass response. Additionally, the MacBook Pro with Retina display has dual adaptive microphones that reduces noise ensuring that your conversations and recordings are as clears as they can be.

Pricing

The MacBook Pro with Retina display currently comes in only one size: 15-inch. Pricing starts at $2,199.00 for the 2.3 GHz Retina display, while the 2.6 GHz Retian display is priced at $2,799.00.
