Top 5 Mobile Apps to Keep Kids Entertained

The ever advancing world of technology has provided us with some amazing features. Whether it's for personal use like watching videos, sharing photos or simply browsing the internet or if it's for business purposes to provide mobile web advertising or checking important emails, the access that we all want and need is at our fingertips and rests in the palm of our hands.

It's not only for adults, though, as there have been many applications released specifically to provide entertainment for kids during certain situations like long trips, plane rides or any other time when just a little distraction will help. These applications have numerous ranges and can also be a great learning tool for children to learn the alphabet, colors, shapes, and everything in between. Here is a list of five mobile apps perfect to keep children entertained.

1. 50 States - Not only is this app beneficial and a great jump start to geography, but it involves all 50 states and facts that will keep the children occupied for a good duration of time. Usually for kids that are a bit older, but this application gives kids a look at states, names, capitals, flags and much more to help them in their learning experience.

2. Kids Piano - Young children absolutely love the sound of music, especially when they are the ones making the noise. Kids Piano allows children to make their own music with notes on each keyboard so you can interact with them on how the notes sound. It's a time consumer because they'll sit there and play note after a note and eventually go all in with what they like to hear.

3. Alphabet Bingo - For any child learning the alphabet, this is the perfect application to get them using that knowledge and reward them when they're right. Letters are scattered on a 5x5 grid and the app will say a letter that is on the grid while the child finds it and marks it. Once the child gets Bingo, there's a nice little celebration of music to reward them for their success.

4. Pocket Soccer - This is a wonderful game that combines multiple elements of soccer, air hockey and pool accompanied by three larger balls decorated as a country's (whichever country you choose in the game) flag. The object of the game is to essentially 'throw' the larger balls at a smaller soccer ball in an attempt to score in the opposing player's goal. It's fun, simple and provides three different difficulties to play against the computer with or take on a friend.

5. Spaghetti Marshmallows - Another interesting games, this one has children build structures made of uncooked spaghetti and marshmallows in an attempt to get the final marshmallow in a designated area. Of course there are obstacles (hungry frogs!), but once you complete the level, the kids get to do what they always do with their toy structures; they get to go on a wild rampage and destroy the structure for their own enjoyment! Every kids' dream.
