The Austin City Council will vote Thursday on two proposals that would increase the cost of a taxi ride by adding additional fees to the current cost of cab fares. One proposal includes adding a clean-up fee to the cost of a cab ride for those who get sick while riding in the taxi. The second proposal includes adding a $2.50 surcharge to the cost of a ride between the hours of 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. â
