Lucas G. Bingham, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist experienced in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. At Coastal Hills Dermatology in Ladera Ranch, California, Dr. Bingham offers patients exceptional dermatologic care in a relaxed and friendly environment. With his depth of knowledge and compassion, Dr. Bingham treats patients of all ages for any condition of the skin, hair, and nails. Dr. Bingham began his studies at Brigham Young University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Spanish and a minor in zoology. He went on to earn his medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine followed by a transitional-year internship at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. After this, Dr. Bingham completed a three-year dermatology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Passionate about helping patients both at home and abroad, Dr. Bingham has performed volunteer medical care to patients in Brazil, Italy, Ethiopia, and Kenya. Dr. Bingham also has notable experience in the field of research and leadership. He has published studies and reports in several prominent medical journals, has presented at national and international meetings, and is currently serving as the president of the Dermatologic Society of Orange County.He is also an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Pacific Dermatologic Society. Outside of the office, Dr. Bingham enjoys spending time with his large family. He also loves being active outdoors, especially running, road and mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, snowboarding, and stand-up paddle boarding. Dr. Bingham lived in South America for several years and is fluent in Spanish.
