Co Hu Johnny Gaw, MD, is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Gaw earned his medical degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. He completed his internship at the former Michael Reese Hospital and his residency at Vanguard Weiss Memorial Hospital, both in Chicago. In addition, he completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at St. Louis University Hospital in Missouri. Dr. Gaw believes strongly in preventing illness by leading a healthy lifestyle. In his view, a nutritious diet, an hour's worth of exercise a day, and stress reduction techniques can go a long way toward preventing illness. Dr. Gaw leads by example. In his spare time, he bicycles regularly with a group of friends as well as with some of his family members. In addition to English, he speaks medical Spanish and fluent Tagalog, Mandarin, and Fujian.
