Chelsea Raby, PA-C believes it is essential to treat each patient with respect, dignity, compassion, and empathy, while always maintaining an open line of communication and prioritizing attention to detail. Her primary goal is to achieve the best possible patient outcomes based on the application of state-of-the-art technology and techniques. A core principle of her practice is to empower patients through education and encourage participation in their own care plan. Whether it involves breaking down complex diagnostic information into terms that everyone can understand or engaging in collaborative, inclusive, patient-focused discussions, she upholds that every patient deserves an explanation and an approachable advocate when it comes to something as sacred as their own or their loved one's health. Chelsea obtained a Bachelor of Science degree at Auburn University in Biomedical Sciences, followed by a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Additionally, she holds the following certifications: Emergency Neurological Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. Chelsea's expertise includes but is not limited to the following spinal procedural capabilities: discectomy, fusion, laminectomy, corpectomy, artificial disc replacement, laminoforaminotomy, deformity correction, and spinal cord stimulation. Peripheral procedural capabilities include ulnar nerve release and carpal tunnel release. Chelsea's expertise includes but is not limited to the following cranial procedural capabilities: tumor resection, craniotomy, burr hole evacuation, deep brain stimulation, microvascular decompression, endovascular cerebrovascular repair, and open cerebrovascular repair. When she is not treating patients, Chelsea enjoys snowboarding, college football, cooking, traveling and hiking with her husband.
