Waterville Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Waterville, Maine, offers outpatient opioid use disorder care in the form of medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Adults age 18 and older can receive MAT to treat an addiction to opioid drugs such as heroin or prescription painkillers. MAT at Waterville CTC is safe and effective and involves the use of methadone or Suboxone to help relieve the uncomfortable symptoms of opioid withdrawal. This allows adults to focus on the therapeutic component of MAT, which includes group and individual counseling sessions to promote lasting recovery from opioid addiction.
