Jeffrey Wilson, M.D. is an interventional cardiologist at the Monument Health Heart and Vascular Institute. Dr. Wilson grew up in Wisconsin, where medicine has always been a part of his life. His father and twin brother are also cardiologists. Discussions at the dinner table often revolved around anatomy pop quizzes and treating cardiovascular disease. Dr. Wilson completed his internal medicine residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He completed his fellowship in cardiovascular disease and sub-fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine in Sioux Falls, SD. It is important to Dr. Wilson to connect with patients on both personal and medical levels. He practices evidence-based medicine and partakes in clinical research to further improve care for his patients. "As an interventional cardiologist, I specialize in coronary artery and peripheral vascular disease. I am a strong advocate of image-guided coronary and peripheral interventions. I strive to provide excellent specialty care. My team and I make certain that my patients understand their health concerns and leave the consultation with a plan of action going forward. I believe patients must participate in shared decision making in order to make appropriate and fully informed medical decisions." Outside of work, Dr. Wilson enjoys skiing, golf, shooting sports, hiking with his dog, and helping cook dinner with his wife. He hopes to see some of his patients on the trails in the beautiful Black Hills!
