An antique car in simple terms is such a car that has been in existence for quite sometime. As you move from one city or country to another, the time frame differs because for instance according to the Antique Automobile Club of America; an antique car is one that is no less than 45 years old. In other countries like United Kingdom, there might not exactly be a proper definition of an antique but it is generally accepted that for a car to qualify to be antique it should be really old. Such cars a great rarity and in most cases are greatly sought after because of the prestige that they bring to the owner. Many a time, one might be traversing the streets when they come across a 1950 DeSoto Sedan, 1951 Ford panel truck or 1946 Chevy Bus and they feel like they really need to get their hands on. Then they go ahead and place a phone call to their local car dealers and sadly the car is not available either because it is a rare model or because it is no longer on sale. This is why local antique car dealers are a great part of the car dealers industry today. These people are the reason that antique cars change ownership from one person to another over time.
