Instagram: How to Combine Multiple Photos Into One

First, they released an Android version last week, then Facebook announced on Monday that they're in the process of acquiring the photo-sharing app for $1 Billion. It's no wonder that Instagram is THE current "It App" of the tech world.

If you're new to the app and you're wondering how you can be "in" with the Instagram community, a great way to do so is to pull off the "multiple photos" technique. Instagram can already spice up your photographs with several filters, but why not take it a step further and include multiple images in one photograph?

Multiple images not only make a photo more dramatic, but they'll be able to tell a story that's definitely worth well over thousands of words. Check out the examples below:

Unfortunately, Instagram doesn't have a native feature that allows users to this. However, their team did recommend a few apps that can combine several photos into frames. Just use these apps to do your image magic and when you're done, upload them to Instagram.

PicFrame - Aside from combining photos, this app allows you to customize images further by adjusting the frames, rounding photo edges and adding effects. Want to add the brightness and contrast of the images? Or how about manually panning and zooming your images? PicFrame does all this and more. You can also share your creations on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Tumblr, and via email. (iPhone only - 99 cents)

PhotoGrid - This is pretty much your basic multiple-image-creator-app. Simply select and load images from your gallery, and select the frames and partitions that look best (this can be done by either tapping or shaking the device). There are no limits to how many photos you can load, and you change up the color of the borders and frames. (Android only - Free)

Diptic - Available for both iOS and Android, Diptic will allow you to combine up to five images in one photo. The app has a wide range of layouts (52 in total) that you can manually adjust. Similar to PicFrame, this app also lets users manually adjust border width, brightness and contrast, as well as customize the frame and dimensions of the images. It also has a shake to clear feature to easily let you create images. Once the image is finalized, you'll be able to export it to multiple social networks. (iPhone and Adnroid - 99 cents)

Photoshake! - Take photo combining to the next level by adding themes, stickers, and balloons to the images. PhotoShake makes images a lot more fun, because you'll be able to add hilarious stickers and even captions on the images themselves. Create a comic strip starring you and your friends by combing photos and adding speech bubbles on the pictures. And similar to the above-mentioned apps, Photoshake allows you to adjust the borders, colors, and brightness of the images so that you can customize them to no end. Done with your masterpiece? Send it to various social networks with just a few taps of a button! (iPhone and Android - $1.99)
